DivX H.264 Encoder: First Alpha released

The second package to be released from Project Rémoulade is an alpha version of the DivX H.264 Encoder. Complementing the DivX H.264 Decoder, this multithreaded encoder produces high definition H.264 video bitstreams that are compatible with the draft profile for DivX 7 H.264 HD video. The encoder is a command line utility and accepts input from raw AVI files as well as the AVISynth frameserver.

Frostie's auto Video Gallery - Free to use
Frostie, a member of the DivX Community, made an awesome tool for all web designers who want to integrate DivX video in their website.
Quote from his post: "I made my own gallery (with help from a friend) to help me from having to code all the newly added videos to the site. This will auto read all folders that contain .divx and .avi files in a root folder that you pick (default is \media). It'll auto build a dhtml menu from the folder structure. Click a file and it'll play in the player."

The DivX ASP specs

I know those are old (taken from the "Offical DivX 5.2.1 Guide"). But DivX decided not to publish any more recent ones.
So these specs are still valid.
DivX and Matroska
It's offical now: DivX 7 will finally move from AVI container to Matroska. Alastair Mayo (DigitAL56K) who is in charge of Project Rémoulade at DivX, publicly announced it on the doom9 forums.
From http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1152183#post1152183
DivX 7 will use the MKV container format! That's right, you heard it here first: our new format does not use AVI! Those of you now planning a street party do remember to send me an invitation ![]()
